MINASE - The Japanese « boutique » watch brand
MINASE is the name of an ancient village located in Yuzawa (Akita province), some 550 km north of Tokyo. MINASE is also an exceptional Japanese watch factory established in 2005. The Brand is owned by Kyowa, a renowned manufacturer of high-quality tools (step drills) and luxury watch components founded in 1963.
MINASE timepieces are proudly made in Japan. They offer truly exceptional and remarkable design with a very innovative technical approach and outstanding quality. Living in a mountainous region with a harsh climate and endless cold winters (a place somehow similar to the French-Swiss Jura), the high qualified watchmakers and technicians understand the meaning of precision, rigour and the love for outstanding work.
MINASE is using superior craftsmanship techniques blended with manual finishing and expertise in the manufacturing process of its rare and unique products for which the brand shows exciting ambitions at the international level.
MINASE timepieces embody the Japanese key principle "Monozukuri".. Monozukuru is a state of mind, a philosophy of work. It is not only a question of producing excellent and beautiful objects but also a matter of constantly improving the product and the manufacturing process. Every worker is concerned and totally involved in the respect of the traditions, with pride and passion. This is true traditional Japanese craftsmanship that creates excellence.
With a yearly production of less than 500 watches, MINASE clearly stands at opposite ends of mass production. The brand unveils another philosophy: it is the time of tradition, the perfection of precise gestures and craftsmanship.
